That means you can cruise around town without using any gas, and enjoy the silence and smoothness of the electric motors. Of course, if you want to unleash the full potential of the E-Ray, you can switch to hybrid mode and let the V8 engine roar. The E-Ray will have a zero-to-60 mph time of about 2.5 seconds, and a top speed of over 200 mph. That's faster than most supercars on the market today.
The E-Ray will also have some unique design features that will set it apart from the rest of the Corvette lineup. It will have a wider body to accommodate the electric motors and the battery pack, as well as a revised front fascia with larger air intakes and LED headlights. It will also have a distinctive E-Ray badge on the front fenders and the rear decklid. The interior will be similar to the Stingray, but with some additional screens and buttons to control the hybrid system.
The E-Ray is expected to cost around $100,000, which is about $30,000 more than the Stingray. That's a hefty price tag, but it might be worth it for those who want to experience the best of both worlds: a classic American muscle car with a modern twist.
